  The media could not be loaded. The vent for our heater directs warm, very dry air at my side of the bed all night. All the humidity is sucked out and I’m miserable in the morning, albeit toasty warm. I’ve had numerous humidifiers, swamp chiller fans, etc to try to combat the dry heat and its effects. Most of the time, any benefit from these contraptions runs out in the middle of the night.Enter my new VCK Humidifier, and I am much happier in the morning. This humidifier holds about 2 gallons of water so it isn’t running out at 3 am. I can set the humidity level to my preference from 55% to rain forest (95%). It has 10 mist levels, so between the mist level chosen to the target humidity level, the run time until you have to refill it will be different.I keep mine set at 55% humidity and use mist level 10. If the room reaches that targeted humidity, the machine will turn off until it is needed again. That’s AI mode and my favorite feature. I also appreciate that it is very quiet but I expect that from a humidifier.You can either remove the whole unit from the water tank and fill the tank at a faucet that can accommodate such a large /tall item, or you can remove the top and fill with a pitcher or gallon jug. The whole unit is about 22” tall with the water tank as about 18” of that. The tank has a water level window on the front so you can see when you need to refill. My preferred settings use up about 1 gal of water each night.The display cycles through the information about your environment: humidity level, mist level, air temperature each display for about 5 seconds and this loop repeats.This unit comes with a remote but no way to attach it. I love my Dyson space heater because it has a magnetized remote - I never lose it. When I get new environmental comfort devices like this I usually find a place to attach the remote with a Velcro dot so I don’t lose it. The one tiny complaint I have is that the remote did not work on arrival. I had to change the CR2032 battery, but I keep those in my battery drawer so I was able to test it.I give this highest praise and recommendation, plus there is a coupon on the page currently making this an outstanding value.

  The media could not be loaded. Reviewing VCK Humidifiers for Bedroom, 8L Top Fill Cold Mist, We go through so many humidifiers. We live in the Rocky Mountain West, so it’s arid in the winter. It’s normally between 20 & 25% humidity in the house without any humidifiers running (in the winter). If it’s an especially cold night, it can get down to single digit humidity inside the house due to the HVAC system. Because of this, we set up several humidifiers to use in the winter and even though they all have humidistats to shut off once the humidity level gets to 50%, they rarely turn off because the humidity level usually hovers between 40 & 45% with several humidifiers running. The only way to avoid that is to turn up the mist level on all of them, and that’s not feasible because that means we would be filling up humidifiers several times a day. We’re concerned about the ability to properly clean the whole-home units that attach to the HVAC system, so we run several portable types.This humidifier is great. It holds 8L, which is a good amount for a portable humidifier. We have a 6-gallon unit in the hallway outside our bedroom, so that unit, mixed with this unit in the bedroom, keeps our relative humidity level around 48%. It has a temperature reading on (which is the most accurate of all the humidifiers we run-it’s still off by a few degrees though) & an auto setting, so it shuts off once it hits the preferred humidity level. It also has an “AI” setting that can adjust the mist level depending on how far off the room is from the desired humidity level. It has a light setting too, but you can turn it off like we do. And ever important, it's so quiet!The device comes with a remote, so you can put it in a convenient spot and control it with the remote without needing to get up at night when you forget to set it. I love that it’s a top fill, which is so much easier. I get annoyed by needing to take humidifier tanks to the sink to fill up, then run a towel along the wood floors to soak up the drips that happen between the humidifier station and the sink. With this top-fill, I just fill up a gallon carafe and use it to fill up the humidifier without moving it. This is especially handy since this humidifier is so large. It will not be one that you set on a table or desk.My only complaint is the name VCK. Vick’s makes humidifiers and their target audience is people who desperately need a humidifier due to colds or sinus congestion, so they are a trusted name. VCK is an unknown brand, so I feel like they may be trying to piggyback off of Vick’s reputation. Aside from those that complaint (& the fact that the temperature is still a few degrees off), I really like this humidifier. Rating 4 stars.

  Wow, 8 quarts and a huge amount of vapor from the top. Easy to fill, the remote is great and the display is clear and visible. Great looking unit too. You can set the timer if you wish for sleep or office hours but I don't use that feature at home. You can set the vapor density for output in general. I have mine set at the top setting because I actually run a light projector through the vapor output for a really cool effect in my room. You can set the target humidity and then set the "AI" setting and it will adjust the flow of mist to match your settings automatically so you don't have to be continually adjusting your unit. This is a very powerful unit and puts up a huge cloud of vapor when set at max. 8 quarts is huge for a room vaporizer which is great and they designed a package that holds it without looking like some big barrel. Bottom line is this thing looks and works great and the huge water reservoir is perfect for real world living. I love this thing already, 6 stars.

  We wanted to use a humidifier in our bedroom at night to avoid getting "dried out" during the winter when there is less moisture in the air. This unit produces a steady stream of water vapor that did exactly that. The unit is easy to fill - just lift off the top, which has the humidifier mechanism attached, fill the base unit with tap water from the bathtub, slip the top unit back in and plug it in. Once plugged in the unit automatically comes on and provides various read-outs such as room temperature, humidifier output level, etc.,Pushing the "power" button then starts the unit, which can be adjusted from 1-10 in terms of water vapor, with 1 being the lowest output and 10 the highest. The water vapor is emitted from the center of the unit and generally streams upwards. At the higher settings, there is some "vapor spill over" that comes out of the top of the unit that is more akin to rolling vapor. We were concerned that this water vapor would roll down and condense towards the bottom of the unit and make the floor wet and so we adjusted the setting towards the middle of the output levels and this eliminated that issue.The unit comes with a remote but we found that the remote didn't seem to operate the unit consistently with some buttons working and others not seeming to do anything. We opted to use the buttons on the unit itself to turn it on and off and set the water vapor output level. After about a week, the unit didn't turn off consistently and so we began unplugging it in the mornings to make sure it didn't continue to operate during the day.While we are happy with the amount of water vapor produced by the unit and it's overall humidifying effect, the questionable controls on the unit were less than thrilling.

  Things I like:1. Absolutely massive water capacity.2. Remote control3. Lack of noise - it is very quietThings I don't like1. The display screen never turns off! I use this at night when I'm sleeping. The light ends up being very bright when the room is dark.2. The large water capacity also means that stuff can start to grow in the reservoir.

  I really like this humidifier as it is large and very quiet. It has 10 adjustable mist levels along with a timer. The container can hold 8 liters of water and I do not have to fill it up very often depending on what level of mist you may use. The container is easy to refill when needed and also comes with a remote control.

  I love cool mist humidifiers because they don't take a lot of power to run but still pump a ton of humidity into the air. The downside is that they are typically small and need to be filled often. This humidifier has a huge tank and tons of options for getting the humidity in your room just right. The AI option is great to just set it, forget it, and letting the humidifier do it's job.I'd definitely recommend this humidifier.

  I will say this humidifier does just fine in a small room. It looks very sleek and holds so much water with no leaks. BUT crazy thing.. My Roku controller works for it even though it has its on controller.. It caught me off guard when I was turning my TV off late at night and I heard the thing beep every time I hit a button. Tested it out in the morning and sure enough it controls the device. I would suggest to point away from it or have it not near your tv. Otherwise it does deserve the four stars minus one for the remote issue.

  The media could not be loaded. I gave this humidifier to my daughter to use in her condominium. She's happy with it. Her condo is about 1200 square feet over two stories and this humidifier does a good job of boosting the humidity in one of the two floors. It's really not able to get the humidity as high as you could want in the whole space, but for one or two bedrooms on a second floor it will give you good wintertime humidity throughout the night. If you really want to humidify the whole of a larger room or several rooms you will need to run this humidifier day and night if you're seeking RH of 60%.The wicking filter and fan approach has one advantage over ultrasonic: no white dust. It also has one disadvantage: the need to wash and eventually replace sedimentized filters.A variety of mist levels can be chosen between, from minimal to heavy. Set a desired RH and mist level and the machine will run until the RH is achieved, then shut off until RH decreases and it turns on again.The two-gallon take is enough for two 24-hour days of use.
